The Beauty Inside

“The Beauty Inside” is a new web series that follows a young man named Alex. Alex leads a normal life, except for the fact that he wakes up every morning with a different appearance.

The project is directed by Sundance-winner Drake Doremus, and is narrated by Topher Grace. While the whole series is mostly a well crafted product placement for Intel and Toshiba, it is an interesting concept.

The best part is anyone can play Alex, and the computer giants are allowing regular folks to audition and be part of this film.

The one problem Alex faces with his … condition is Leah, the girl he loves. Every day he can talk to her but she will never know it is him. Doremus said this about his project:

“The story was exciting to me–the idea of waking up in somebody else’s skin every day but being the same person on the inside. That was some territory I was interested in exploring. The week in between each episode is going to be a very interactive week for the viewers. The goal is to really integrate and involve them and immerse them in the piece over the six weeks. We’re trying to do something that’s genuine, and we want to make this a global event that everybody can be a part of,” Doremus says, noting, “I’ve never done something like this before, so I’m really curious and excited to see what happens.”

They have also provided a small behind the scenes look at the film, allowing viewers to better understand the concept.

The first episode aired August 16th, and will continue until September 20th. To view the episodes click here.
