Ashley Galvan

Ashley was the second person eliminated in this competition because of an injury. This news is very sad and unfortunate. In the beginning I was not a huge fan of hers but week by week she grew on me. She was one of my top three, the others being Alex and Robert. Now that two of my favorites have gone from injuries I am praying Robert stays safe and manages to fight through the fangirls for a top spot in the competition.

Back to Ashley, she was in some beautiful routines this summer and this is a tribute to her dancing.

This was a Travis Wall ‘jazz’ piece. It was more contemporary but this dance was so beautiful. She got some flack because she had done contemporary weeks in a row but I was happy with this routine and Mark is incredible. It was danced to Wonderful by Annie Lennox. I love the foot moves Travis has been doing, unbelievable.

This solo is from the Top Nine week. I was nervous at first when she was walking but then she just broke out and danced her heart out. This is one of the best solos on the show. It proved how brilliant of a dancer she is. The song is Royal T by Crookers featuring Roisin Murphy.

This routine was choreographed by Tyce Diorio. It is stunning. It shows both dancers off very well. Neil is perfect in it and Ashley is beautiful. The song is For All We Know by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway.

It is very sad to see Ashley go but I hope she heals up and continues dancing!
